Launching Video Translate: Our CEO’s Multilingual Introduction

To announce the launch of our Video Translate product in August 2024, we created a video featuring D-ID’s CEO, Gil Perry. Gil introduces the product while seamlessly speaking in 5 languages – all created with AI. The magic lies in the perfect synchronization: his voice remains authentic, and the lip movements match each translated language flawlessly, creating an incredibly natural result.

This video was more than just an announcement—it was a demonstration of Video Translate in action. By using our product to craft this campaign, we highlighted its ability to break language barriers, allowing content creators and businesses to connect with global audiences personally and positively.

Bringing Avatars to Life: Promoting the Creator Competition

In November, we hosted the AI Dreams Creator Competition, inviting participants to showcase their creativity for a chance to win $10,000. To remind our audience about this exciting opportunity, we turned to D-ID’s Studio to help craft a compelling and dynamic video. The highlight of this project was transforming the closing scene of a previous video—where a man at war exclaims, “Be Creative, Be Bold, Be D-ID’s next winner!”—into a fresh and engaging opener. This time, he expressed surprise that viewers still hadn’t submitted their entries.

This seamless modification required the advanced capabilities of Express Avatars, a feature within the Studio that enables edits to existing video content with realistic precision. By leveraging this technology, we created a memorable reminder that not only grabbed attention but also demonstrated the Studio’s ability to adapt and personalize content effortlessly.

Love in the Age of AI: Creating Interactive Holiday Campaigns

For Valentine’s Day, we launched a playful and creative campaign that brought AI to the world of daytime soap operas. Our Content Marketing Manager used our Studio and a Pro Canva account to produce an organic social media video called “Whispers of the Heart,” centered around Emily and Alex, the stars of our fictional soap. But we didn’t stop there—we made Emily interactive by turning her into a D-ID Agent. By uploading a knowledge base filled with questions and answers tied to our storyline, we gave her the ability to engage with audiences and answer their hard-hitting questions.

This multichannel campaign was a fun way to push a holiday-themed marketing initiative while showcasing the versatility of D-ID Agents – an AI technology that was just introduced at the time. Beyond Valentine’s Day, we’ve also used Agents to represent other important holidays and causes, such as Autism Awareness Day and Earth Day, tailoring their knowledge bases to fit the themes and spark meaningful interactions.

A Special Message from Santa: Personalization at Its Best with Video Campaigns

This Christmas, we took personalized marketing to the next level with a festive campaign starring none other than Santa Claus himself. Using our Video Campaigns product, we created an AI-driven Santa avatar and crafted a heartfelt script for him to deliver holiday cheer. Customers received an email greeting from us, wishing them a Merry Christmas and inviting them to watch their very own personalized video.

The email linked to a HubSpot-powered landing page where Santa greeted viewers by name and even mentioned their country, thanks to personalization tokens pulled directly from our database. This level of specificity made the campaign feel intentional, warm, and tailored—far from the generic holiday messages that often flood inboxes.

Turning Our Newsletters into Engaging Videos: D-ID’s Canva Integration in Action

Our Canva integration has become an essential tool for creating marketing materials. Recently, we’ve been transforming our email newsletters into short, engaging video summaries that we share on social media. These videos not only give audiences a quick overview of what we’re up to but also encourage them to subscribe to stay updated. And as we all know, video content is king.

What makes this process so simple is the D-ID AI Presenters app integrated into Canva. Our content marketing manager—without any professional video editing background—creates Premium+ avatars to narrate the newsletter, seamlessly integrating them into Canva’s video editor. There’s no need to jump between platforms or repeatedly download files. Canva’s features make it easy to create the video with additional images, audio, and animations.

Even better, the process is entirely reusable. Each month, the same avatar is ready and waiting for a new script, making it easy to keep the format consistent.
