D-ID Achieves ISO/IEC 42001 Compliance in AI Management
We are thrilled to announce that D-ID has achieved ISO/IEC 42001 compliance, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to ethical AI development. This certification is the first global standard for AI management systems, and D-ID is proud to be among the initial group of companies worldwide to attain this distinction.
Setting the Standard in AI Governance
The ISO/IEC 42001 standard is designed to help organizations manage the risks and opportunities associated with AI technologies. It provides a structured framework that balances innovation and strict governance. Adhering to these guidelines ensures that our generative AI advancements are at the forefront of technology and conducted with the highest responsibility and oversight.
Complementing Our Commitment to Security
This new milestone complements our existing suite of security credentials, including ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27017, and ISO/IEC 27018. Collectively, these standards underscore our dedication to maintaining the strictest data security and privacy standards across all aspects of our operations.
Beyond Compliance: Our Ethical Framework
At D-ID, we navigate the complex ethical landscape of AI with a clear focus on responsible usage. While the European Union’s AI Act lays down foundational ethics for AI, it does not yet have a regulatory branch akin to this new certification. The ISO/IEC 42001 is, therefore, a proactive measure, aligning closely with the intents of the AI Act, ensuring that our practices meet and exceed current regulatory expectations.
Our approach to AI management involves rigorous internal controls and third-party moderation to prevent misuse. We respect user privacy to the utmost degree, ensuring that all applicative data is handled carefully—never accessed for model training and always deleted within stipulated periods unless otherwise managed by the user.
Transparency and Integrity in AI
Transparency is at the core of our operations. Our commitment extends beyond compliance to setting a benchmark for responsible AI development.
As we move forward, D-ID remains committed to innovation guided by ethical standards. Completing the ISO/IEC 42001 compliance is a badge of honor and a testament to our ongoing commitment to lead responsibly in the AI space. We are also in the process of obtaining the SOC 2 certification, which will further our capabilities in ensuring security, availability, and confidentiality in all our AI solutions.
We are excited about the future and remain dedicated to delivering AI technologies that are innovative, safe, secure, and aligned with the highest ethical standards.
